What's A-Parent

Mom's 'Eat Your F*cking Food' Song Is The Anthem Every Parent Can Relate To

"I'm trying to be nice, but stand my ground..."

What's A-Parent is a series highlighting those who get real about the hardships that come with raising kids. These often untold stories help show parents they are not alone in their struggle, and are doing an amazing job.

"So this song is true if you've ever even known a child," mom Shayna Ferm said at the The Pump And Dump Show before performing her original song, "Eat Your Fucking Food."

Ferm, and her co-star, Tracey Tee, created The Pump and Dump Show as a comedic performance that offers "commiseration and validation to beleaguered moms everywhere."

"We believe parenting is fucked up and hilarious. We believe in telling moms that they're awesome. We believe there's power in laughter," they write on the Pump and Dump Show website.

In her song, "Eat Your Fucking Food," Ferm sings about the messiness of feeding one's baby, including that "spit up sweet potato" that ends up in a mother's hair.

"I'm trying to be nice, but stand my ground, I'm makin' funny faces, playing videos on YouTube, makin' choo-choo train sounds," Ferm sings. "But it's been an hour and I never get to shower and now your sister's runnin' around naked screamin' 'bout my train sounds."
