The Way You Move

We Need To Learn This Empowering Dance To Whitney Houston's 'It's Not Right But It's Okay'

"I'm gonna make it anyway."

The Way You Move celebrates dancing and choreography videos that showcase fancy footwork in genres as diverse as ballet, hip-hop, tap, ballroom, and more. Learn a new routine the first Thursday of each month, and throughout the calendar when you get the urge to move.

If anyone going to get us singing and dancing to the sound of their music, it's Whitney Houston. And now, choreographer Hamilton Evans' has released a routine to Houston's "It's Not Right But It's Okay" that we can all practice this weekend.

Evan's released the performance on YouTube featuring dancers Maddie Olandt, Montana Victoria, Jordan Herbert, Milani Janel, Gianina Paolantonio, Stacey O'Haine, and Jorgia Vaughan, as well as Evans himself. Evans wrote in the caption that this song is "one of [his] favorite Whitney Houston songs ever."

And it's understandable why. The empowering track features lyrics such as "It's not right but it's okay / I'm gonna make it anyway  / Close the door behind you leave your key / I'd rather be alone than unhappy," as well as "So don't turn around to see my face / There's no more tears left here for you to see."

"What a way to honor the great Whitney Houston," one viewer comments on the video. "Fresh, bright, lots of pop. I loved it, Hamilton. You and your team make my day."

This isn't the first time that Evans has showcased his choreography skills. Just last week, he uploaded a video set to Ariana Grande's new track, "The Light is Coming." He's also choreographed routines to Jennifer Lopez's "El Anillo," Janet Jackson's "Doesn't Really Matter," and Beyoncé's "Naughty Girl," among others, all amassing him more than 450,000 subscribers on YouTube.
