Fans Are Calling This Empowering 'Voice' Battle One Of The Best In The Show's History

"You made me even more proud to be a woman."

Miley Cyrus gave herself a tough decision on Monday's episode of The Voice when she paired Janice Freeman with Katrina Rose for the second week of battles. The two singers performed Etta James' "W.O.M.A.N.," and to say it was empowering would be an understatement.

Both Freeman and Rose showed off their powerhouse voices in a battle that had coach Jennifer Hudson on her feet before the song was even over. Meanwhile, Freeman got so into things that her bracelet flew off her wrist, to be retrieved after the performance by Adam Levine.

The battle was so good, in fact, that some viewers are putting it in the hall of fame. Two separate YouTube commenters declared it "one of the best battles in the history" of The Voice. Another called it "a masterpiece."

"That wasn't even girl power," Levine said in his critique. "That was like something above girl power." Hudson chimed in to dub it "woman power" and later said the performance "made me even more proud to be a woman."

"Both of y'all have just completely blown the roof off," Cyrus told the singers before deciding who should stay on her team. "You cannot walk away from this feeling like this is at all a loss."
