Pink Drops Her Comeback Song, And We Can Already Picture Her Flying Through The Air While Singing It

Listen to “What About Us.”

The future is looking a whole lot more Pink. The pop star — whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore — just dropped a brand-new song titled "What About Us" that asks some really thoughtful questions and flies just like the singer does during some epic performances.

"What About Us" is the first official single off Pink's forthcoming seventh album, Beautiful Trauma — her first in five years. She offered up a lyric video for it, which Billboard describes as asking "a variety of searching, urgent questions over an insistent beat," while Variety notes that it is "an aching ballad with a soaring chorus that shows off the singer's powerful range."

This tune — one of 13 off the upcoming record (full track listing below) that is due out October 13 — was written by Pink, Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid, and Steve Mac (who also produced as well).

"What About Us" has some really meaningful lyrics, too. The chorus is: "What about us? / What about all the times you said you had the answers? / What about us? / What about all the broken happy ever afters?" The song goes on — as Billboard suggests — to seemingly comment on the current state of the world on a large scale or the state of one's heart on a small scale.

Pink has chosen a great comeback song and we can't wait to see what else lies ahead on Beautiful Trauma.
