It's been more than a decade since Will Smith stepped into a recording studio and eventually released new music, but now, he's back with a new purpose — dropping the official song for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The song, "Live It Up," was produced by Diplo and features reggaeton singer Nicky Jam and pop singer Era Istrefi. With elements of dance and ska intertwined, and lyrics sung in both English and Spanish, it serves as an anthem to get soccer fans excited when the World Cup makes its way to Russia in June.

The month-long tournament — which only takes place every four years — gives 32 national soccer teams from around the world a chance to show off their skills and compete for a trophy and millions of dollars upon winning.

There's no official music video for 'Live It Up' yet, but Smith hyped up the release of the song on Instagram by posting some behind the scenes footage of him and Jam recording in the studio.

"Live It Up" also comes at a time when Smith teased his fans with some new lyrics from a new album in the works.

In a YouTube video he posted last week, Smith talks about how working on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, films, and releasing albums every year had gotten him to the point where he was feeling creatively empty. But times have changed for Smith.

"I'm excited," he said. "I'm reenergized. I'm creating wildly like I used to. I'm ready."
