On Tuesday night's episode of America's Got Talent, the judges met Michael Ketterer, a singer and father of six who shared his inspiring story and amazing voice. According to Just Jared, Ketterer and his wife had one child biologically before they were told they wouldn't be able to have more kids. They went on to adopt five more children.

Ketterer, who works as a "pediatric mental health nurse," told the judges, "One of the things that happens — especially since my kids came out of foster care — when you're surviving, you can't dream ... And so I'm here because I want to show them that if their dad can live out his dreams, then nothing's impossible for them."

Ketterer went on to deliver a soulful performance of "To Love Somebody" by the Bee Gees, while his family watched from the wings. He earned a standing ovation from the judges and the crowd, and Simon Cowell praised the performance for being "real" and "a surprise."

He then showed his appreciation by hitting the Golden Buzzer to send Ketterer straight into the live shows. "Something about your voice — I genuinely mean this — is special," he told the dad, and we have to agree.
