Makayla Phillips continued to wow the judges on Tuesday's new episode of America's Got Talent. The 15-year-old singer performed a stunning cover of Julia Michaels' "Issues," and she shared an emotional dedication to go with it.

According to People, Phillips dedicated the performance to her father, a fire captain in California. "My dad is absolutely my hero because he's a firefighter," she said before the performance. "His job is so incredibly tough, there have been days where I've been scared my dad won't come home."

She shared her hope of making her family "proud," and we have no doubt that's what she did with her latest performance, as she showed off her impressive range and stage presence. After the performance, she reportedly began to cry as the camera focused on her father in the audience.

Judge Heidi Klum, who pressed the Golden Buzzer for Phillips after her audition to Demi Lovato's "Warrior," said this rendition was "better than the original" and shared that the young singer has "star quality." Fellow judge Simon Cowell told Phillips that this latest performance was "way better than your first audition."

We can't wait to see where Phillips goes from here if she makes it to the next round.
