People Turned Smash Mouth's 'All Star' Into A Love Ballad And It's Like A Whole New Song

We've never heard it quite like this.

We'll always have Smash Mouth's original 1999 hit "All Star" on our playlists. But recently, Kurt Hugo Schneider turned the track into a much slower, much more romantic love ballad, and our minds are completely blown.

In a video uploaded to YouTube, singers Casey Breves and Macy Kate sit opposite one another singing the lyrics like we've never heard them before. Schneider accompanies the singers on the piano while other artists play the violins, a guitar, a bass, and percussion instrumentals.

"Wow ... just ... wow ... you made a masterpiece into a new masterpiece," one person comments on YouTube.

"Hey now, you're an all-star!" another writes. "This was actually beautiful. My friends sing this song so much and I love seeing it as a love ballad for a change. Kurt your [sic] such a star!"

This isn't the first time Schneider and company have transformed some of our favorite songs: there have been countless mash-ups, piano renditions, and more, like the time Schneider and Sam Tsui slowed down The Chainsmokers' "Roses" into an acoustic track

So whether you're fan of the original "All Star" or ready to hear something different (or both!), check out the performance below:
