We always love when Jimmy Fallon invites his musical guests on The Tonight Show to perform their hits using classroom instruments, and his latest installment with Aerosmith is no different. With the help of Fallon and The Roots, the band put a new spin on their iconic song "Walk This Way."

The group proved you don't need electric guitars or screaming fans to be a rock star. As Metallica already showed, sometimes all it takes is a colorful xylophone and a kazoo — or, in frontman Steven Tyler's case, a couple of fruit shakers and a harmonica. Other instruments featured include a wood block, a ukulele, a maraca, and shoe shakers.

The performance makes us nostalgic for our school days, and we're not the only ones to enjoy it. Several fans on YouTube also commented how much they liked watching. "Made my day, seriously," one user wrote. Another viewer noted, "They're having a blast. That was fun."

One fan also made sure to shout out The Roots for their part in making the video great. "I cant say this enough....But how AMAZING are THE ROOTS?!?" they wrote. However, one user was hoping that Tariq Trotter, aka Black Thought, "would spit some bars." Maybe next time.
