A few weeks ago, English singer-songwriter Craig David made an appearance in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, and was inspired to cover a song from fellow English artist and rising star Dua Lipa. He put his own creative spin on Lipa's popular single "IDGAF" from her self-titled debut album. Yesterday, Lipa stopped by the Live Lounge for her own set of live performances. She expertly sang her hit track "New Rules," a song that has amassed over 1 billion views on YouTube.

As for the cover she chose, she decided on something a little more emotional. Accompanied by piano, Lipa performed a stripped-down version of the Arctic Monkeys track "Do I Wanna Know?" The song is from the band's last album AM, which was released in 2013. Arctic Monkey fans are eagerly awaiting a follow-up album as the group recently announced they'll be ending their hiatus and releasing new music. But perhaps this Lipa cover will help to make the wait a little easier.

Lipa's chilling rendition of the song shows she can do a lot more than sing a pop hit. She transformed the original rock track into a soulful piano ballad that beautifully shows off her vocal range.

In recent months, Lipa has shown that she's determined to be a positive force in the music industry — and has no plans on slowing down. With her music, she's inspiring fans by focusing on themes of self-love and individual empowerment. In the industry, she's already a record breaker, having received the most BRIT Awards nominations in history for a female solo artist and more nominations than anyone else in 2018. She is also the youngest female artist to hit 1 billion views on a music video on YouTube. We can't wait to watch her continue to climb to the top.
