Demi Lovato Covered Sam Smith And We Need A Collab Right Now

We love when celebs stan each other. Having already been big fans of Demi Lovato and Sam Smith separately, imagine our surprise when it turns out these two are in equal admiration over their fellow singer's music as well.

Lovato stopped by BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge on Monday, November 13, and — in addition to singing her classic "Skyscraper" and current hit "Sorry Not Sorry" — she decided to cover Smith's recent release, "Too Good At Goodbyes." The song, which hit No. 5 on the Billboard's Hot 100 chart and is the first single off Smith's second album The Thrill of It All, is as soulful as it is melancholic — and Lovato totally nails those aspects to it.

It didn't take long for Lovato's cover to catch Smith's attention — and we weren't let down by what transpired in clear view of the watchful eye of fans around the world. What resulted from the adorable back-and-forth was a gushy Twitter exchange in which these two hitmakers expressed how much they love and support each other's music.

Both Lovato and Smith have been having a great 2017, the former being busy performing "Hallelujah" and having a lip-synch conversation with Jimmy Fallon while the latter has been busy being a surprise guest at weddings and joining James Corden for Carpool Karaoke (with a little Fifth Harmony, too). Now, it seems, their worlds are finally colliding.

OK, so when are we going to get a collaboration between these two? Sooner rather than later, we hope!
