Country star Carrie Underwood appeared on Jimmy Fallon's recent episode of The Tonight Show filmed in Central Park. The singer performed her new song "Love Wins," and we now know that she and the host also treated the crowd to a little collaboration. According to the new YouTube video, the pair performed an "impromptu live karaoke duet" after filming the episode.

So what was their karaoke tune of choice? "Islands in the Stream," the 1983 hit famously sung by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. As it turns out, Fallon previously performed the song on his show with Miley Cyrus, who played her godmother Parton to Fallon's Rogers.

This time, Fallon ditched the beard and performed as himself. The host continues to prove his musical ability, whether it's for a fun game or a sincere performance. Recently, he joined Kelly Clarkson and Queen Latifah to perform a unique version of the doo-wop classic "Earth Angel" using an iPad app.

Fallon and Underwood clearly had a great time performing together, and the singer proved just how impromptu the performance actually was when she informed The Roots of a "key change" in the middle of the song, and then laughed that she came in "really low" on the next verse. Unsurprisingly, she went on to totally rock the remainder of the song.
