On Friday, Ariana Grande performed a moving tribute to Aretha Franklin at the Queen of Soul's funeral in Detroit. The 25-year-old took the stage to sing Franklin's hit "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman," which she previously performed with The Roots on The Tonight Show.

According to Billboard, Franklin's family was "moved" by the original performance and invited Grande to perform the song once again at the late singer's funeral. She was accompanied by a band and a group of backup singers as she belted out a powerhouse rendition of the classic song, which Franklin released in 1967. Many of those in attendance stood up and danced along during the joyous performance.

Aretha Franklin passed away last month at age 76 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Her hours-long funeral was streamed for fans on Friday. As People explains, the singer's hearse was escorted to Detroit's Greater Grace Temple by 100 pink Cadillacs, a reference to her 1985 song "Freeway of Love." Franklin reportedly had four outfit changes during several open-casket viewings last week.

Several other artists performed at Franklin's funeral, including Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, and Faith Hill. The memorial also featured a number of speakers, including Franklin's granddaughter Victorie, who said of her grandmother, "Her voice made you feel something. You felt every word, every note, every emotion in the songs she sang. Her voice brought peace."
