This Artist Dressed Disney Characters In Pop Culture-Inspired Halloween Costumes, And The Results Are Scary Good

Your favorite Disney characters sure know how to have a happy Halloween, as shown by artist Isaiah K. Stephens' latest series featuring amazing Disney art. He reimagined your Disney Princesses, Princes, and all your other childhood icons dressed in pop culture-inspired costumes, perfectly suited to each character.


Finding the surprising, yet nonetheless sensible, connections between two seemingly unrelated pieces of pop culture is a trademark of Stephens' work. According to his official artist statement, he uses "popular themes such as surrealism, heroism, sexuality, fantasy, and adventure" to convey "various overlapping themes and strategies." Stephens' drawings not only "often refer to pop and mass culture," but "directly respond to the surrounding environment and uses everyday experiences from the artist as a starting point." 

The result? An original art series so good, it's almost scary:
