A Plus Book Club

Calling All Lovers Of Literature — You're Invited To The A Plus Book Club

Not Oprah's Book Club, but still good.

If you savor the sweet scent of crisp, fresh pages, if you're on a first-name basis with your local bookstore, or even if you've just run out of shows to watch on Netflix and just looking for an off-screen recommendation ... oh, do we have the club for you.

Join your friendly neighborhood literary nerd on a new, page-turning adventure: The A Plus Book Club.

At the beginning of each month, we'll announce the book we've chosen to share with you, as well as the date and time at the end of the month on which we'll have an interview with the author on Facebook Live

Speaking of which ...

In celebration of March, National Women's History Month, we'll be reading Fearless and Free: How Smart Women Pivot — And Relaunch Their Careers by Wendy Sachs. Her book teaches women at every stage of their careers how to use their unique set of professional and interpersonal skills to their advantage so they can overcome the "self-imposed barriers that hold women back."

Drawing on interviews and advice from a diverse group of women "spanning industries and ages," Sachs has compiled all that first-hand knowledge into an easily accessible and comprehensive guide anyone — but especially women — can use to make the most of their working lives.

On Monday, March 27 at 2:35 pm, Wendy Sachs will discuss her book with me on Facebook Live and answer questions from you, our lovely readers and viewers.

In the meantime, grab a glass of wine, find a cozy spot, and curl up with a good book. Start thinking about those questions, too — Wendy and I can't wait to hear them.

Of course, no woman — and certainly no book club — is an island. If you'd like to see a specific book featured on the A Plus Book Club, please submit your requests to bookclub@aplus.com.
