The Woman Who Fit 3 Years Of Trash In A Jar Teaches Us Her DIY, No-Trash Beauty Essentials

Lauren Singer — a "no-trash guru," known for fitting three years of trash into one mason jar  — knows how to make mean DIY beauty essentials that are eco-friendly and super resourceful, too. 
Her blog, Trash is for Tossers, includes recipes for her bathroom essentials and DIY beauty products that anyone can make without producing any waste. 
For instance, Singer makes a zero-waste toothpaste out of coconut oil, baking soda, and peppermint essential oils that she claims make her teeth feel the cleanest they've ever been.
She also uses cornstarch with an upcycled paint brush as dry shampoo and baking soda with water as a face mask, among other zero waste tricks.
If we could all make an effort to create a little less waste, perhaps through our everyday beauty products, the earth would be a much healthier place.
