These Reactions From A Kindergarten Class Show Why 'Wonder Woman' Is So Important

"When I grow up I want to speak hundreds of languages like Diana."

Wonder Woman has been a massive success with audiences and critics, as well as at the box office. The film already broke the record for the biggest domestic opening for a female director, and as of this weekend, it reportedly had the lowest first-to-second domestic weekend drop for a modern superhero movie.

While this monetary success is great news for Hollywood's first female-led, female-directed superhero movie, the impact the film has had on fans, especially children, is priceless. We've already seen countless heartwarming photos of young girls dressed as the film's heroine, and thanks to director Patty Jenkins' Twitter account, we now have a sampling of reactions from some of the movie's youngest viewers.

"My producer just sent me this," Jenkins wrote on Twitter this weekend. "ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! This makes every hard day worth it. Thank you to whomever wrote it!!"

The attached message, from someone who works around kindergarten children, shows the incredible importance of female representation on screen — for both girls and boys.

The adorable reactions include an Iron Man-obsessed boy who asked for a Wonder Woman lunchbox, a girl who wants to speak hundreds of languages just like Diana, and another who has decided she likes Wonder Woman even more than Frozen.

Perhaps the sweetest anecdote of all, however, is the one in which several girls playing together during recess each wanted to be Wonder Woman, but instead "had agreed to be Amazons and not fight but work together to defeat evil."

"Consider this your friendly reminder," the list concludes, "that if this movie completely changed the way these girls and boys thought about themselves and the world in a week, imagine what the next generation will achieve if we give them more movies like Wonder Woman."

We can't wait to find out.
