Women React To Trying On Undergarments Throughout History

"You definitely need a hand into this as well."

Over the years, fashion trends and styles have changed drastically, so it's no surprise that our undergarments have changed, too.

In a new video for Facts., women try on historic undergarments, and react to their fit and feel. For example, they sport corsets from the 16th century, bustles from the 1800s, and bras and bloomers of the 1900s.

The women notice that the Victorian era featured restrictive undergarments — tight corsets and lengthy styles proved elegant but less comfortable. And though the 1900s featured practical, freeing options such as bloomers and bras, the popularity of waist trainers and butt enhancers make today's undergarments just as restrictive (if not more) than before.

"It is actually like an accordion attached to a bum."

"I don't even want to know what's going on [with] this."

"You definitely need a hand into this as well."
