13 Things Women Do To Let Guys Know That They're Interested

Basically, how some women flirt.

Flirting is a tough code to crack. Everyone has different ways of showing interest and either gender can have trouble catching on. But thanks to the insight of a Reddit thread started by user BlasionSensation, along with some of our own female instincts, we've compiled a list of some signs to look out for.

Just remember: these are guidelines, and before engaging in, ahem, sexual activity with anyone, they need to give their verbal consent. Before it even gets that far, here are some signs to look for if you're wondering if a woman is interested in you.

They drop not-so-subtle hints.

"If a girl says, 'I really wanna see that movie! But none of my friends/family want to see it.'

She's asking you to the movies." — Cupcake-Warrior

They casually bump into you.

"I had a girl who kept bumping into me at the bar and after the 3rd or 4th time I said loudly to my friend, "this fuckin girl keeps bumping into me", to which she turned and said 'HEY! that's not nice' and i shot back 'ya neither is repeatedly bumping into people' and then she goes "well I thought you were cute and wanted you to talk to me". It took me a couple seconds to process what just happened" — velcroshoelace

They get nervous.

"I find I subconsciously play with my hair or earrings, and touch my lips/bite my lip if I'm talking to a guy I'm interested in." — PGtits

Sounds excited if you call.

A given.

And word vomit happens.

"Eye contact, nudges and sometimes i say mean things when i don't actually mean it: "you're such a loser" but i laugh while im saying it." — sarahkate89

They bake.

"I'll bake for him. Anything that takes real effort shows real interest!" — GetOffMyCouch

Ask for your number.

"Asking for his number, or if I already have his number, straight up asking him out. Shocking, I know." — under_analysis

She'll mysteriously find ways to be around you.

For example, if you work at a camp, don't be surprised if she brings her group to art if your group is at art.

Invite you out.

"When I invite him to hang out with me somewhere, instead of my girl friends." — PM-ME-YOUR-FOREARMS

They want to get to know the real you.

"Showing interest in his life; asking personal questions." — Meritvt

You catch her glancing at you on multiple occasions.

This one is personal experience.

She'll find ways to spend time with you or do things you like.

"I generally will pay more attention to the guy and try to spend more time with him, like walking with him to places." — _I_Have_No_Mouth_

They just tell you. Or, you could just ask.

"These threads pop up routinely, and the end result is always the same. I still have no f*cking clue what's going on. What one girl may consider flirtatious, another may just call that being friendly. It's the same for either gender really. Be upfront and use the greatest tool you have. Words. The games should end post college years." — BarryMcKockinner
