What Older Women Say They Would Do If They Had More Time

"Believe me."

In a video for Sanctuary, a women-only U.K. spa, older women speak directly to younger women in an effort to remind us what's really important in life.

The video, in which each of the women hold similar convictions, discusses the importance of embracing all of life's fleeting moments, taking time to relax, and learning to just be  — among other things.

Results from a 2015 survey by Sanctuary that sampled over 1000 women showed that seven in 10 women felt pressured to be the "perfect woman," according to the video. And on their site, they explain that 40 percent of women "feel like they are about to burnout."

As each woman speaks, they finish each other's sentence. And, by the end, their message is complete.

Here are their words:

"If I had my time again, I wouldn't create a 'to-do' list, I'd create a 'to-don't' list."

"What I wouldn't give for five more minutes on the dance floor while my legs were still strong enough to carry me."

"This is simply about you as a human being. There is the most important word: 'being.'"

"Being able to let go and being proud to do so."

"Believe me, if I were a young woman now, I'd spend more time being..."

"Not doing."

As the video concludes, the spa explains that they aim to help women "relax, breathe, and let go," which appears to be much-needed.

In regards to "burning out," an 2013 article from the New York Times explains that approaching burnout is "a much more serious and long-term problem that doesn't get the attention it should, but can affect all aspects of our lives and workplace."

On Sanctuary.com, Jenni Trent Hughes, a life strategist, says: "When was the last time you sat on a park bench for even ten minutes and did absolutely nothing. No searching through your emails on the phone. No playing games. Nothing. Looked at the sky, or as the saying used to be 'stop and smell the roses'. You owe it to yourself and the ones you love."

"People remember the moments that you create with them not the things that you give them," she adds.
