William Shatner, Henry Winkler Team Up To Tackle Bucket Lists In NBC's 'Better Late Than Never'

Captain Kirk and The Fonz are going on an adventure.

There may already be a film featuring a couple famous aging actors traveling the world to find meaning late in life (Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman in the aptly titled The Bucket List), but there's always room for more existential searching in entertainment. William Shatner and Henry Winkler will take their stab at it in NBC's upcoming Better Late Than Never, a comedy set to follow five men as they travel to Asia in search of those ever-elusive life-changing experiences.

Rounding out the main cast are comedian Jeff Dye, four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw, and the most famous grill spokesman alive who's also a two-time heavyweight champion boxer, George Foreman. The eclectic crew will travel to Tokyo, Kyoto, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Chang Mai to film the one hour series, which starts production in August.

With no tour guides or cushy car services, the characters will throw themselves out of their comfort zones and contend with all the challenges of communicating with locals, immersing themselves in new cultures and trying new experiences. Presumably they'll also get extreme heartburn both from trying new foods and simply dealing with each other's respective neuroses.

For those who have always yearned to leave their repetitive day-to-day lives behind and travel, following Shatner, Winkler, and the rest on their adventure throughout the other side of the world might just push them to take that chance and finally do it. For those who are perfectly content, watching Captain Kirk and The Fonz sweat after some particularly spicy Thai food should be exotic enough just from the couch. Win-win.
