Will Smith And James Corden Get Jiggy With It, With The Help Of A Marching Band, In Carpool Karaoke

Now that's "surround sound."

Late Late Show host James Corden went all out for the first episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series on Apple Music. His guest was none other than Will Smith, and he generously shared the first six minutes of the episode on YouTube Monday night.

Things start as you might expect — with Corden and Smith cruising through Los Angeles rapping along to Smith's famous tune "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It." Eventually, Corden decides that it's "such a big tune," it deserves something more.

That something turns out to be Corden's new "surround sound system," which arrives in the form of a marching band. At first, the band follows the car parade-style, but Smith and Corden soon decide they'd rather emerge from the sunroof and dance along.

After that, the pair discusses Smith's rap career — including what it was like to be "most likely to have already succeeded" in high school — and blast "Boom! Shake the Room." They also briefly debate the merits of putting pineapple on a pizza, and Smith talks the possibility of playing Barack Obama.

"He told me that he felt confident that I had the ears for the role," Smith says of his conversation with the former president.

The preview also includes a brief look at the rest of the episode, available on Apple Music, which features the pair crashing a wedding and singing "I Believe I Can Fly" in a helicopter. There's also a brief glimpse of upcoming episodes featuring stars such as Ariana Grande, LeBron James, John Legend, and Miley Cyrus.
