This Actor's Spot-On 'Toy Story' Halloween Costume Came With A Great Message

"It was time ..."

Some people say English actor Will Poulter looks like Sid, the young villain from Toy Story. So this Halloween, the 24-year-old decided to play along by dressing up as the infamous character. But it was more than just an inside joke — Poulter's costume is also raising awareness about a relevant issue.

Poulter, who has appeared in such movies as The Maze Runner, We're the Millers, and The Revenant, posted a photo of his spot-on costume on social media over the weekend. It came complete with a skull T-shirt, a magnifying glass, and poor Woody awaiting his fate.

"It was time ..." Poulter wrote in the accompanying message. "This Halloween I thought I should respond to the comparisons with Disney Pixars biggest bully next door and go as Sid from Toy Story!"

But there was a bigger message Poulter wanted to share, considering October is National Bullying Prevention Month in the United States, and Anti-Bullying Week is coming up soon in the U.K. "In addition to having a laugh at my expense I wanted to try and raise some attention for a cause I am an ambassador for!" he wrote.

That cause is Anti-Bullying Pro, an organization which has trained more than 24,000 young people in the U.K. to lead campaigns against bullying at their schools. Poulter requested users give the organization a follow to "help support the cause to make school a safer and happier place for young people."

Poulter's post has a received a positive response since he first shared it Saturday night, no doubt because it combines a creative costume with a great cause. As of this writing, the actor's tweet has more than 34,000 retweets, so it's safe to say his goal of raising awareness has paid off ... and made us really want to watch Toy Story.
