Research Suggests Single People Are Way Happier Than Society Gives Them Credit For

"The 'lonely singleton' is a myth."

Valentine's Day is coming up, but while couples are celebrating together, singles get to spend the whole day focusing on themselves and doing the things that make them happy.  If you think this is sad, you're oh so wrong.

Some research suggests that single people are way happier than society wants to give them credit for.

Happify, a website and app with science-based activities to help people lead a happier, healthier life, recently released an infographic, in time for Singles Awareness Day on Feb. 15, that disproves the "lonely singleton" myth, and shows singles ways to embrace their current status.

Of course, this isn't to suggest your relationship status won't change if you don't want it to, but it does show that you can be happy just the way you are.
