For Those Without Access To Wholesome Foods, It Can Be A Long Journey To Health

Livingston is a young kid in Uganda who loves going on motorcycle rides with his dad. But in order for him to keep on enjoying those rides, he's got to stay healthy by getting nutrients like vitamin A. 

In developing countries, however, children don't always have access to vitamin A-rich foods, such as fish and certain root vegetables. 

In Uganda, for example, 28 percent of preschool children are deficient in vitamin A, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information.  This means some families must make long journeys to ensure their children get the supplements they need.
