These Are The Presents Men Say They Actually Loved From Their S.O.s, Not Pretend-Loved

#3 is a brilliant idea.

It can be tough finding the right gift for any guy in your life whether it's your dad, brother, cousin, or friend. It can be even more difficult searching for a gift for your partner, who may be more likely to only pretend to like their gift for your sake.

So, to help get an idea of the types of presents men actually want from their S.O.s, we searched Reddit to find what gifts men say made their holiday season special.

Check out some of their responses below:

1. Some new clothes.

"A nice, well-fitted button down shirt. This might seem like a strange answer, but I hardly ever buy clothing myself and I appreciated that she took the time to think about what would look good on me/guess my measurements." — Reddit

2. A hobby kit.

"Wife bought me a new beer brewing kit, along with an ingredient kit. Pretty fun hobby;)" — DantheMan700

3. A comfy chair.

"You know what I really want? A nice comfortable desk chair. Because if it is comfortable to sit in, I will think of you each time I sit in it. And if it is quality and lasts a long time, I'll be thinking of your gift for quite a long time!" — Pinstar

4. A plush toy of something significant.

"She got me a teddy bear from Build-A-Bear and I love that little guy. She named him Ospov since she knew that's what I name everything (online accounts, video game characters, etc.) and I just thought it was really sweet. I've had him for probably around four years now and I sleep with him every single night. He's my little buddy and I love him." — Ospov

5. A watch.

"My ex got me an amazing watch. I still wear it everyday to work to remember her. Awesome lady." — SiddharthGrover

6. A cozy blanket.

"I still have a blanket that a girl I dated years ago gave me. We didn't date that long (she was nice, we just didn't wind up living in the same city), but every time I see that awesome blanket on my bed I think of her and hope she is doing well." — maugan_ra

7. Something cute that has an inside joke.

"She got me a T-shirt with a name tag decal on it. The name tag [had a quote from The Princess Bride that] read, 'Hello my name is: Inigo Montoya, you killed my father prepare to die.' That shirt is one of my most treasured possessions."  — Crogfrog

8. A favorite food.

"My ex bought 8+ boxes of lucky charms, sorted out the marshmallows and made a marshmallow-only box of lucky charms for me to enjoy. IT WAS GLORIOUS." — moviefriek

9. Concert tickets.

"My girlfriend got us tickets to see my favorite band in the city even though she wasn't really into the band all that much. The fact that she'd go out of her way to make me happy is something that I'll never forget. It was my first ever concert, too." — Reddit

10. Something homemade.

"A painting she made of my favorite animal in the style of my favorite artist, with a personal joke painted on it as well. It's the only present anyone has ever actually made for me, and it's one of my proudest possessions. Looking at it puts a smile on my face." — Reddit

11. An experience.

"My girlfriend took me snowboarding for Christmas, she hated it but was a trooper and it was incredible." — darkstar_96

12. Something unique.

"She noticed how often I played the Binding of Isaac and, with the help of my guy friend, went out and purchased real world versions of the items in the game. She called it my BoI survival kit :D" — Byndley

13. A simple hug.

"As a very affectionate guy, I just want a really long, close, tight hug. Like five minutes where I can just hold her close to me, with her arms around my waist, and her head pressed against my chest, and we can just stand there in silence and know that we love each other. Better than any sex, gift, or activity." — ragerlol1

14. Something sentimental.

"A list of the things she liked about me that she had written while out of town." — Reddit

15. A relaxing bubble bath.

"Run me a candlelit bubble bath and I'll feel like the most loved man in the world. I just feel so tired after work." — Made_you_read_

16. Any kind of electronics.

"A graphics card for my computer, she didn't even know what it was or what it was for. She just saw me browse one repeatedly on the Internet and memorized the name and model." — blue0lemming
