'Spider-Man' Star Tom Holland Makes It Rain As Rihanna On 'Lip Sync Battle'

Spidey's got moves.

Prior to Sunday night's MTV Movie & TV Awards, the network aired a special episode of Lip Sync Battle featuring Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland and Zendaya. If you were unfamiliar with Holland before, you won't be able to forget him after you watch his spectacular performance.

The 20-year-old English actor kicked things off by channeling Gene Kelly in Singin' in the Rain, swinging from a lamp post in a classic suit and hat. It wasn't long, however, until things turned a little more contemporary. After a quick costume change, Holland emerged in a Rihanna-inspired outfit to perform the star's iconic 2007 hit "Umbrella." (Can you believe it's already 10 years old?)

Anyone who's familiar with Holland's time on stage in Billy Elliot likely won't be surprised that he's a talented dancer. So you'll have to forgive the rest of us for being incapable of picking our jaws up off the floor. Even Zendaya couldn't contain her amazement as she watched from the sidelines.

Holland closed the performance under pouring rain, splashing acrobatically through puddles in the midst of umbrella-wielding backup dancers and ending on a flip you have to see to believe. We can't wait to see what he does as Spidey. In fact, Holland revealed to The Hollywood Reporter last year that the new film (out July 7) will feature a bit of dancing, although he downplayed his talent.

"The internet has perceived me as this fantastic dancer. I can still do a couple pirouettes, but I am by no means a proper dancer," he said.

After watching the above performance, we beg to differ.
