Todrick Hall's Latest Musical Mash-Up Is Definitely A Pitch-Perfect Performance

It's aca-awesome!

Todrick Hall has outdone himself this time. The YouTube king just released a tribute to the Pitch Perfect franchise — just in time for Pitch Perfect 3 — that combines some songs that have been featured in the movies and some that were made famous by the movie to make the perfect cover-filled acapella medley we didn't know we needed.

The video features two classic Pitch Perfect songs: "Cups" (sung by Anna Kendrick in Pitch Perfect) and "Flashlight" (sung by Hailee Steinfeld in Pitch Perfect 2). In addition, we get others such as "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds (made famous by 1985's The Breakfast Club and featured in Pitch Perfect), "Crazy Youngsters" by Ester Dean (from Pitch Perfect 2), and "Sit Still, Look Pretty" by Daya (from Pitch Perfect 3). An eclectic-yet-epic selection, huh?

In the mashup, Hall sings each song one by one and harmonizes with multiple other versions of himself — a common trick he employs in these performance videos. While it's fun to hear Hall tackle each tune and make them unique, our minds were blown when they all morph together into one big moment. Hall does this flawlessly and we kind of dig this musical mix.

With this potentially being the last Pitch Perfect movie, we think this video makes the case that we should have a new version of the films created just so Hall can grace the big screen soon.
