11 Things You Can Do With Your iPhone's New Software

Haven't updated your software? You'll want to do it ASAP.

Apple's newest mobile operating system, iOS 9, became available for download last week.

Here's the new features you can utilize to get the most out of the update for iPhone:

1. Save and manage your battery.

The new Low Power Mode feature will help your phone battery last longer. You can turn it on at anytime. Once your battery hits 20 percent, your phone will send you a helpful reminder about this by asking you if you want to turn it on.

You can also now see how much time you've spent using a certain app for the past 24 hours and the amount of battery life it's taking up.

2. Select multiple photos at once.

Instead of having to select each photo individually, you can just tap and drag your finger along the photos you want. This will make deleting the 52 photos you took to get to the perfect one for Instagram much easier.

3. Say "Hey Siri" to get her attention.

Once you set up, you can call up Siri by saying "Hey Siri" when your phone is plugged in. This can be especially useful while driving. The new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have the ability to call up Siri from anywhere regardless of whether your phone is plugged in or not.

4. Get public transit directions in Apple Maps.

You finally don't need an external application to get you where you need to go by train or bus. When you use Apple Maps to get from place to place, it'll even show you where the entrances are to the subway station you're looking for.

This feature is currently only available for major cities, but it'll expand to everywhere else soon enough.

5. Create drawings using the Notes app.

So fun! The app itself is much more useful now. You can make checklists and bulleted lists, add locations and more easily insert images. You can also make folders for your notes now.

6. Go back to the app you were using more easily.

Instead of having to double tap or reopen your Safari after you're done reading a text message that came in, you can just hit back in the top-left corner.

7. Use the Apple News app.

The app lets you pick publications and topics you want to follow and then you'll get a curated dashboard filled with easy-to-read articles. You can also keep your favorites in one place by putting them in your Saved folder.

8. iCloud Drive can now exist as an app on your Home screen.

This makes it easier to access than ever before.

9. Create selfie, hidden and screenshot folders in Photos.

Your phone will now automatically sort selfies and screenshots into their own perspective albums on your phone. There's also a new hidden feature that will prevent people from seeing photos you don't want them to stumble upon when going through your photos. Now, you wont have to worry about anyone accidentally swiping right and seeing an embarrassing or private photo of you.

10. Search in Settings.

No need to spend so much time looking for the feature you want to change. Now, you can just search it in Setting and it'll pop up.

11. Ditch weak Wi-Fi for cellular data

The Wi-Fi Assist feature exists in the Cellular section of your Settings. This will allow you to abandon a crappy, slow connection for your cellular data when you're out and about. You'll never forget to turn Wi-Fi back on again.
