What ‘The Voice’s’ Top 8 Say About Their Duet Partners Will Bring A Smile To Your Face

"The confidence you have on stage is remarkable."

Time flies, right?

That's probably what you'll be thinking come Monday when The Voice — whose latest season premiered in late February — enters its semifinal round!

Already? Yeah, we're a bit sad knowing the season will be wrapping up soon, but we're super excited for what's on the way — specifically, the crowning of a new champ and seeing which mentoring judge gets bragging rights.

But viewers are in for a treat along the way, because during the semifinals, the top eight contestants won't just stand and sing in front of a mic by themselves. Nope, the contending singers will instead be performing duets with their competition.

Pairings for the "Dynamic Duos" showcase include Team Adam's Laith Al-Saadi and Team Pharrell's last singer standing, Hannah Huston. They'll be facing off against another Team Adam singer, Shalyah Fearing, and her Team Blake partner, Paxton Ingram; Team Christina's Bryan Bautista and Team Blake's Mary Sarah; and — last but certainly not least — Adam Wakefield of Team Blake and Xtina's Alisan Porter.

The cross-team competition is sure to please at-home audiences, who will cast their votes to choose the four contestants who will head into the finals.

Ahead of what's sure to be a great night of music, A Plus features some exclusive insight into the question: What did the contestants think of each other when they first met?

Within the clip above, you'll learn who thought who was "pompous," who thought their duet partner "was a kook," and who thought their partner's voice was (and still is!) sexy.

But once they got past those and other initial impressions, hear how they talk about the respect they have for each other as musicians, what they like best about their talents, and the some more quirky revelations that show just how close these friendly competitors have become.

Check out the video above and let us know who you're voting for in the comments. And be sure to watch The Voice on NBC this Monday and Tuesday.
