Instead Of A Promposal, This Teen Proposed Marriage

"Promposals are overrated. Let’s do the real thing."

From epic choreographed dances, to celebrity-assisted asks, we've seen some pretty amazing promposals over the years. But this teen took things to the next level by proposing on prom — for real.

While taking photos for prom, 18-year-old Dawson Moore got down on one knee to ask his 18-year-old girlfriend Amber Brownlee to marry him.

She said yes.

The couple has been together since they were freshmen and have been living together for over a year. They graduate next month and will be heading off to college, and will be starting off this new chapter of their life engaged.

Moore shared a video of the proposal on Twitter writing, "Promposals are overrated. Let's do the real thing."

The video went viral and has been viewed nearly 9 million times since it was posted last week. While some have commented with concern about getting engaged so young, many have responded with sweet stories about their parents who were high school sweethearts.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
