This Company Turns Homophobic Propaganda Into Something Beautiful

"Confetti made from 100 percent recycled lies."

If you've ever come across homophobic propaganda and wanted to tear it up, throw it on the floor and stomp on the scraps, you're not alone.

Daintree paper store and advertising agency Rothco feel the same way. But they decided to do something a little more productive with leaflets spreading lies about gay people. The Dublin-based company is turning the misused paper into happy confetti.

The confetti brand is labeled "A Shred of Decency," with the tagline "Confetti made from 100% recycled lies," and is sold for around $5. All proceeds go to an organization that supports gay marriage called Yes Equality.

"When paper was used to spread some ugly lies in the run up to the marriage equality referendum we weren't one bit happy," Daintree writes on their website.

Some of the lies spread on leaflets against gay marriage include statements like this:

"We decided that this was an opportunity to take this awful literature and turn it back on itself, to help create a positive message in the run up to the referendum," a spokesperson for the confetti told HuffPost UK Lifestyle.

They decided to react to those factually incorrect statements by doing this:

And now, any happy couple can celebrate their love under a shower of confetti!
