Selena Gomez Reveals The Best Advice She's Received, Her Future Plans, And More In 'Vogue's' '73 Questions'

"Everyone is equal and everything happens for a reason."

Recently, Selena Gomez made headlines when she donated to the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medine to start the Selena Gomez Fund for Lupus Research. In 2015, Gomez revealed her own lupus diagnosis.

Now, the singer's landed her first-ever cover of American Vogue magazine, and, coinciding with its release, Gomez starred in the publication's latest episode of its "73 Questions" series on YouTube.

In this episode, Gomez reveals everything from her pet peeves and her favorite foods to the life lessons and advice she's received from her family.

"What's a good rule you've learned from your parents?" the interviewer asks.

"Everyone is equal and everything happens for a reason," Gomez responds.

And when asked where she sees herself in 10 years, Gomez keeps it simple:

"Hopefully happy."

And we think that's what we should all strive to be.
