This Oklahoma Billboard Channels 'Seinfeld' In The Best Possible Way

The timeless art of ... savings.

Seinfeld has countless iconic moments, and considering how much it's been syndicated since it went off the air in 1998, most of them are just as recognizable today as they were two decades ago — possibly even more so. One of the standouts is the photo shoot Jason Alexander's George Costanza did with Kramer, resulting in the classic portrait of him sprawled out on a velvet chair, wearing nothing but socks and boxers.

If you've driven down an Oklahoma freeway recently, it might have shocked you to come across a billboard for a carpet and flooring store created in a very similar style. That's because Oklahoma-based Floor Trader Outlet enlisted the help of Insight Creative Group to come up with a rubberneck-worthy outdoor ad, and the latter delivered exactly that.

The ad's tagline, "The Timeless Art of Savings" is a slight rewording of Jerry Seinfeld's "The Timeless Art of Seduction" quip in response to seeing George's portrait. The pose, of course, is identical to its source material, except the subject (the company's COO Bart Brewer) is fully clothed.

"We want the same thing most agencies do — creative outdoor that makes you pee yourself a little when you drive by," Insight Creative Group wrote on its site. "We jumped on the opportunity to do what anybody would have done, paralleling George Constanza's famous 'Timeless Art of Seduction' pose with Bart, mirroring George's famous pose down to the toe stretch — but in the spokesman wardrobe Bart has sported for 10 years."

If you haven't seen the famous scene that inspired the ad, it's from 'The Package,' an episode from Seinfeld's eighth season.

Here's the clip:

It's not clear if the creative has done anything to boost Floor Trader's sales, but how many Oklahoma-based carpet and flooring companies have had their billboards covered on the internet? Regardless of how many feet of shag get sold, the ad is already a success.
