A Customer's Oversized Tip For Her Pregnant Waitress Is The Good News We Needed To Battle The Winter Blues

This is what the holiday season is all about.

Sarah Clark didn't expect it, but this Christmas is one she won't ever forget.

The waitress, who works at Pita Jungle in Phoenix, Arizona, could hardly believe her eyes when she saw a $900 dollar tip on a $61.30 bill. But the tip was real, and it meant the world.

"You always hear about these [things] happening, but you never expect to be the recipient of it," Clark told KPHO. "It's a huge, huge help for me and my family."

Clark is nine months pregnant and because of a knee injury, her fiancé hasn't been able to work. With her scheduled for maternity leave, it's tough to imagine a better time for the extra cash to come in.

Clark said the person who left the tip is a regular at her restaurant is also pregnant, and had taken the time to talk to Clark about her personal life. So there's no doubt she knew the waitress was in need.

"I couldn't have asked for anything more right now," Clark said, according to KPNX. "It's going to help with bills, with rent, with being able to stay home and spend some more time with my baby."

Her special tip also came with a note.

"This is God's money," the receipt read. "He gave it to us so we could give it to you. God bless."
