Ryan Reynolds Gave The Perfect Revenge Idea To A Teen Who, Post-Breakup, Photoshopped Him Into Her Prom Photos

The next time you go through a tough breakup and find yourself in need of some sound advice or — to be honest — some low-key revenge ideas, look no further than Ryan Reynolds. The actor, who is happily married to Blake Lively, is apparently one of the best when it comes to handling these sorts of situations.

Our story starts with a high schooler named Gabi Dunn, who celebrated the Fourth of July — aka Independence Day — the best way possible: by Photoshopping the Deadpool star into prom photos after having broken up with the guy originally in them a few days after the festivities.

"My boyfriend and I broke up a few days after prom, so I decided to 'edit' the photos a little @VancityReynolds," Dunn tweeted alongside two stellar photos.

"I didn't want to waste my prom photos, so I just Photoshopped Ryan Reynolds in," the 18-year-old told Yahoo Style. "I kind of have a huge love for Ryan Reynolds, and I wasn't totally feeling myself on prom day, so I wanted to post my look."

This inspired an outpour of support from fellow Twitter users — some of whom had also used Photoshop to put their celeb crushes into memorable photos. But, despite all of the online hubbub, a single tweet stands above the rest: one from Reynolds himself.

Reynolds fired back with a superb idea: to also Photoshop the A-lister over the ex's yearbook photo. The 40-year-old sparked an excellent hashtag as well, using #DontMessWithGabi to warn future guys not to mess with this young lady.

While Reynolds getting involved obviously made this go viral, doing so caught the eye of Dunn's ex. The young man, who is named Jeff Bright, didn't take too kindly to being dragged online and vowed to skip seeing Deadpool 2.

(But really, who could actually keep that promise?)

Even without Reynolds, we feel as though Dunn would have been able to move on. After all, the Canadian teen has some pretty inspiring and powerful tweets that preach girl power.

Keep on keepin' on, girl!
