This Hard-Hitting Awareness Campaign Is A Powerful Reminder That Kids Are Not As Safe As They Should Be

Each and every day, 500 children are killed in road crashes around the world, according to the figures released by World Health Organization. Five hundred of them. And it's up to us to change these sad statistics.

Now, the FIA, the International Motoring Federation, teamed up with the French director Luc Besson to release this hard-hitting movie. Shocking and yet so powerful, the three-minute video calls to "save kids lives" from the potential danger.

"Road traffic crashes are today the No. 1 killer of children aged 15 to 29. And without urgent action, they will soon be the No. 1 killer of those aged between 5 to 14," Jean Todt, the president of the FIA, was quoted. "We must do everything in our power to halt this scourge and this film can act as a rallying call."

Shot in both South Africa and Paris, the video features little kids on their way to school. It catches us completely off guard — as these accidents always do.
