Men Yelled Something Pretty Tasteless At This Reporter, So She Put Them In Their Place

These guys are beyond rude.

When's a good time to yell sexist vulgarities at women? Answer: Never. But that didn't stop a group of men at a Toronto FC soccer match this Monday from doing so.

While interviewing fans during the game, a group of male fans yelled vulgar statements at CityNews reporter Shauna Hunt.

Exhibit A:

Instead of letting the men get away without reprimand for the demeaning statements, Hunt walked right over to them to set them straight.

"Can I ask why you would want to do something like that?" she asks "That's a disgusting thing to say. It's degrading to women. You would humiliate me on live television?"

When she tells one of the men she's sick of it, instead of apologizing, he says, "I'm sick of it."

"It's f*king hilarious," another tells her. Because that apparently justifies acting completely juvenile.

She then asks him what his mother would think.

"My mom would die laughing eventually," he says.

According to the Toronto FC, if identified, the men in the video will receive a lifetime ban from the arena.

They say they have a few leads.

"We're appalled that this trend of disrespectful behavior would make its way to our city, let alone anywhere near our stadium,"an MLSE spokesperson said in a statement sent to the Sun."Our organization is committed to an environment where everyone can feel safe and included and discrimination or intolerance of any kind will be met with a swift and serious response.

Although screaming this particularly vulgarity is apparently a "joke" started by that guy in England, people on Twitter have started to use the hashtag #ItsNeverOkay to bring attention to the incident as a form of sexual harassment.

Or as one of the United Nations' definitions puts it: "Such conduct has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual's work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment."

Their moms would be so proud.

UPDATE: One of the men in the video has been fired from his job.

Here's his employer's statement:

How 'bout them apples.
