Here Is What The Woman Who Voices Siri Actually Sounds Like

It's an actual human behind that voice.

It doesn't matter whether Siri is your best friend or you've never heard of an iPhone — the ability to alter your voice is something anyone can respect.

For Susan Bennett, the original voice behind the iPhone's programmed personal assistant (also known as Siri), her most famous voice is far from her only voice. In an entertaining and fascinating video from Vox, Bennett explains the reasoning behind Siri's robotic cadences while also showing off three other voices you will probably recognize.

"A Siri-like voice at this point in time is still fairly robotic," Bennett explains. "Most people who just hear me speaking on a daily basis don't recognize me as Siri because the pitch is a little bit lower."
