Pink Pauses Her Concert To Hug A Teen Fan Who Recently Lost Her Mom

"Feeling so very loved."

Leah Murphy, 14, and her mom, Debbie, bonded over their love of Pink's music. Murphy's mother had purchased tickets for a Pink concert, and was planning to go with a friend, but Debbie tragically passed away in June.

The Australian teen explained to the Rockhampton Morning Bulletin that she decided to go in her mother's place with her aunt, Katrina Donkin. "When mum bought tickets to [see Pink in concert], she downloaded all of her songs and we would play it on the speaker really loud and dance and sing around the house," Murphy told the publication.

Pink had to cancel the show due to illness, but Murphy's aunt helped her niece get tickets to the Brisbane show. In addition to securing the new tickets, Donkin took to social media to help make the night extra special for Murphy.

She posted a request on Facebook, asking Pink to give Murphy a hug during the concert.

Donkin and Murphy also made signs for the concert, hoping Pink would see them. The teen carried a sign which read, "My name is Leah – I'm 14 years old. I lost my beautiful mum last month. I would LOVE a hug ... Please!"

At the concert, Pink eventually saw the sign after the crowd helped pass it to the singer on stage.

Pink then stopped mid-concert to go into the audience to hug Murphy.

"Pink read our sign and straight away said 'where's Leah?' " Murphy told The Courier-Mail. "She came down the stairs and gave me a big, long hug."

Videos and photos posted on social media by Murphy and Donkin show the emotional moment. Pink reportedly told the girl not to cry and that everything was going to be OK. She complimented her, took a selfie and autographed her arm. Murphy was also able to tell the singer how much her mom loved her.

After the heartwarming moment, Donkin explained, "We think mum sent a hug from heaven."

She also wrote on Facebook about Pink, "This lady 💗 has left us all speechless but feeling so very loved."
