Ventriloquist Darci Lynne Joins Pentatonix For A Silly Take On A Classic Christmas Tune

"O Easter Egg" is our new favorite holiday song.

The holiday season can't officially begin until a cappella group Pentatonix performs a few Christmas songs. Fortunately, their holiday special A Very Pentatonix Christmas aired Monday night, and they had a special guest join them on stage for one of the performances — this year's America's Got Talent winner, Darci Lynne Farmer.

As you might remember, Darci (now 13) wowed the judges and fans with her amazing singing ventriloquism, which she performed with several different puppets. For Monday's performance with Pentatonix, she was joined by her bunny friend Petunia, who shared her unique take on the classic tune "O Christmas Tree."

Since she's a rabbit, Petunia prefers to sing "O Easter Egg" instead, with Darci explaining that "she doesn't know much about human holidays." Group members Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Kirsten Maldonado, and Kevin Olusola didn't seem to mind, agreeing to take backup vocals while Petunia sang the lead.

"O Easter egg, O Easter egg / Your shell is dyed so brightly," she began the tune. "O Easter egg, O Easter egg / You smell rotten slightly." She finished the song by declaring of the title egg, "I wish that you were chocolate."

We think we've found our new favorite holiday song — although we're not exactly sure which holiday.
