This Olive Garden Waitress Made A Mom's Day By Taking 'Server' To The Next Level

“You’re going to go sit down and enjoy your dinner and I will be there to sit with her!”

Every parent knows that taking young children out to eat can be difficult at best. After all, they're often too young to know how to conduct themselves in public. But, when Courtney Pedigo's 18-month-old daughter, Harlynn, started acting up while out with her family at the local Olive Garden, the Greensboro, N.C. mother was on the brink of eating her meal in the car. That's when their waitress stepped in to save the day.

"Tonight my family and I went out to Olive Garden for dinner, and per Harlynn's usual she did everything but sit in her high chair and eat her dinner like I picture in my dreams," Pedigo captioned her now-viral Facebook post. "She had me so overwhelmed from letting all of Olive Garden know she was in the house and trying her best to wiggle her way down me to run the restaurant, I had went to find our waitress to ask if she could please bring my food out in a Togo box cause we were going out to sit in the car ... .She really said NO."

According to Pedigo, the waitress said: "You're going to go sit down and enjoy your dinner and I will be there to sit with her!"

And that's precisely what Nianni Nani Rudder did. She brought Harlynn a bowl of ice cream with caramel syrup and, while Harlynn wouldn't let the waitress hold her, she sat in Pedigo's lap and allowed her to feed her "while I ACTUALLY GOT TO EAT MY FOOD WHILE IT WAS STILL HOTT!!!!!"

"You don't hear many stories like this in our world. It's always hate crimes and violence and I wanted to show that people like Nianni are out there," Pedigo told A Plus. "A total stranger sat and fed my baby ice cream so I could eat enjoy dinner with my dad instead of waiting out in the car. I'm also a single mother and I'm doing the very best I can with what I know also being a first time mom. So I tend to get overwhelmed easily and Nianni was like a moment of fresh air!"

Pedigo was so appreciative, she couldn't help but share her experience with the world (aka social media).

"Girl, you will never truly know how appreciative I am for tonight," she wrote. "I seriously admire you, Not only because you took the time to bribe my bratty little human with sweets so I could eat, but because you are so so strong! I know your Mom is looking down from Heaven with the BIGGEST smile and so incredibly proud of the woman you are. I aspire to be the go getter you are and like I told my dad on our way home it has to take someone with a strong heart and mind to do what you do bc I know I couldn't! Thank you for your amazing service and for being so kind to us all!"

Parenthood can be stressful, but sometimes all it takes is one kind, helpful soul to remind us that we're all in this together.
