How Nicki Minaj's Generosity Has Helped Residents Of This Indian Village

"This is the kind of thing that makes me feel the most proud."

Nicki Minaj continues to show her generous side. The rapper took to Instagram over the weekend to share that she's been donating money through her pastor Lydia Sloley to help develop a village in India.

"This is the kind of thing that makes me feel the most proud," Minaj captioned a video of villagers with one of two water wells that were installed thanks to her donations, which she has been sending "for the last couple years." According to Minaj's post, the unnamed village also now has a computer center, a tailoring institute, and a reading program.

"We complain about the most ridiculous little things when some people don't even have clean water," Minaj wrote. "Blessings to India. Our work is far from done."

Minaj also shared a pair of photos showing women in the village with what appear to be two new sewing machines.

"I'm so proud of our sisters in India," she wrote. "God is so good. Their desire was to have water wells & places where they can worship, places where they can learn technology, computers, reading, etc. We're just getting started. These women are us and we are them!"

She told followers that she would share more about her charity work soon, in case others would like to be a part of it.

Earlier this month, Minaj showed similar generosity when she offered to pay college tuition and student loans for her Twitter followers. At the time, she added that she would do it again in a month or two. Then a few days later, she announced on Instagram that she would be launching an official charity for tuition and loans, where fans will apparently be able to sign up.

In the meantime, she's still bringing us music. Minaj opened the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night with a nine-minute medley of hits.
