Nickelodeon Is Really Trying To Drum Up Your '90s Nostalgia With These Revivals

Be real, the cover image throws you back.

Back in the '90s, Nickelodeon dominated the kids TV landscape. With iconic shows such as Doug, Rugrats, All That, and Rocko's Modern Life, there was plenty to keep you entertained if you were a kid who constantly ignored your parents' requests that you go play outside.

Now, because nostalgia is a powerful force and time is an infinite loop, '90s kids can relive those glory days thanks to Nickelodeon's decision to bring back two incredibly popular series as TV movies: Legends of the Hidden Temple and Hey Arnold! If you recall, the former was a game show competition that allowed each participant to be some kind of miniature Indiana Jones, and the latter was a cartoon about a bunch of fourth-grade city kids who went to P.S. 118 and roamed the streets at night.

According to Variety, LotHT will be a live-action movie "mirroring the theme of the original game show" that features three siblings that must complete a series of obstacles to stay alive. There will be nods to classic elements from the show all over the place, such as Olmec, a talking head who knows all the secrets of the temple. Not much is known about the Arnold revival other than it will be in two parts that air in 2017, but one can imagine the writers have come up with plenty of ideas in the 22 years since the last episode.

If that's not enough to get you pumped, here's part of the very first episode of 'Legends of the Hidden Temple':

You're lying to yourself if you still don't feel a little bummed you never got to be on the show.
