Astronaut Aboard ISS Throws Football 564,644 Yards In Anticipation Of The Super Bowl

What an arm!

As football fans around the world prepare for tomorrow's Super Bowl, NASA released a video of an astronaut aboard the International Space Station throwing a football 249 miles above the Earth's surface.

NASA's cheeky video editors on Earth calculated the distance traveled by the football while on board the ISS as a whopping 564,644 yards.

If you're hoping to see a football disappearing into the vast recesses of space, please note that the calculation takes into account the distance traveled by the football field-long space station, which moves at 17,500 MPH while orbiting the Earth.
