Muslims Offer To Stand Guard At Jewish Sites To Protect Them From Harm

"Count me in."

A Muslim-American Marine veteran's offer to stand guard at synagogues and Jewish cemeteries in the wake of a battery of threats and vandalism cases has gone viral, showing the incredible bond shared by the two communities as both endure attacks on their places of worship.

Tayyib Rashib, who uses the name @TheMuslimMarine on Twitter, has seen over 5000 retweets of his offer since he tweeted it on February 27th.

After his tweet went viral, others followed suit in voicing support.

It's a powerful thing to see communities coming together, especially under such dark circumstances. If you'd like to show your support for the Jewish and Muslim communities, we invite you to do so on social media using the hashtag #CountMeIn.

The New York Times reported this morning that the FBI made an arrest related to some of the recent bomb threats made to Jewish Community Centers.
