3 Muslim Teenagers Desperately Want Peace, So They Decided To Rap About It

Peace always trumps hate.

Earlier this January, members of the the Philippine National Police's Elite Force were killed in fights with, as Rappler.com put it, "muslim rebels." At least 27 were killed.

In response, three muslim teenagers from the Tahfidel School for the Memorization of the Quran decided to tape a performance, which ABC-CBS News reports is a rap for peace.

They call themselves the Pandiyutay Company.

Their rap comes not only after the Mamasapano, Maguindanao incident, but also after the deaths of three Muslim American students in the U.S.

Though extremists are making it easy for people to group them with Muslims and the religion of Islam, in an op-ed for the LA Times, Barack Obama reminds us that these terrorists are the minority.

"Americans of all faiths and backgrounds must continue to stand united with a community in mourning and insist that no one should ever be targeted because of who they are, what they look like, or how they worship," he wrote.

These three Muslim teens have already started.
