Boy With Severe Food Allergies Orders From A Restaurant For The First Time, Making For One Incredible Moment

"The best part of his week vacation at the beach was eating at LuLu's."

Recently, one boy ordered from a restaurant for the first time in his life — and it was an incredibly special order.

In a post shared on Facebook, Holly Garrett writes a note to LuLu's, a restaurant in Destin, Florida, that worked to accommodate her son with life-threatening food allergies. The 6-year-old is severely allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, and eggs, and has never been able to order from a restaurant. However, LuLu's manager assured Garrett that the restaurant would prepare her son's food in a designated section for people with allergies, and Garrett says they provided customer service that made her family "feel like a top priority."

"We were taken care of beyond what we could have ever imagined and my sweet boy, Isaac, had a once in (his) lifetime experience," Garrett writes on Facebook. "We danced, sang, played and literally had a night I, as his mother, will never ever forget. On the way home from our trip, Isaac said, with certainty, the best part of his week vacation at the beach was eating at LuLu's. Thank you from the bottom of my worried mother heart for giving him this experience."

"This is one of the best posts we have ever seen on Facebook!" LuLu's restaurant responded on Garrett's post. "It literally brought tears to our eyes. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It thrills us to see your son so happy! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you all and we look forward to welcoming y'all again in the future!"

Other Facebook users shared their stories from LuLu's, applauding the restaurant for their work. There were also those who shared their stories as families dealing with such allergies.

"I don't know if I will ever get to your area, but if I do, I will absolutely be looking for your restaurant," another commenter adds. "As a fellow allergy parent, I can't begin to tell you how much this means to all of us."
