Watch Morgan Freeman Narrate His Talk Show Appearance In The Style Of 'The Shawshank Redemption'

"I hope to finish this talk show one day."

Do you ever wonder whether Morgan Freeman gets tired of constantly being asked to narrate things in his signature style? This funny new segment from The Graham Norton Show might just give you an answer.

Freeman recently appeared on the talk show with his Going In Style co-star Michael Caine, and the host brought up one of the actor's most iconic roles — The Shawshank Redemption. Norton wondered why such an acclaimed and subsequently beloved movie wasn't so successful at the box office, and Freeman speculated that its title was too hard for anyone to remember when recommending it to their friends.

Norton went on to ask Freeman if he would recreate his famous narration from the film, with a twist. This time, instead of describing his time in prison, Freeman recited a voice-over about his appearance on the show. "I must admit I didn't think much of Graham Norton the first time I laid eyes on him," Freeman began. "Looked like a stiff breeze could blow him over."

"I hope to finish this talk show one day," he continued, as the audience laughed. "I hope Michael stops talking for just one second. I hope people stop asking me to do stupid voice-overs like this."
