Things Got Creatively Competitive During A Lip Sync Battle Between Miley Cyrus And Jimmy Fallon

There was ventriloquism, costumes, and plenty of dancing.

"Miley Week" on The Tonight Show came to a close Friday, as Miley Cyrus and host Jimmy Fallon ended five days of great performances, silly games, and heartfelt moments with an old stand-by — Lip Sync Battle. It didn't take long for things to get extra competitive.

Fallon started things off with an unusual choice for Lip Sync Battle by channeling recent America's Got Talent winner Darci Lynne Farmer and trying his hand at ventriloquism. His song choice? "Issues" by Julia Michaels.

Meanwhile, Cyrus didn't need puppets — or any props at all — to slay her first performance. All she needed was the addictive tune "Feel It Still" by Portugal. The Man, and a few impressive dance moves — complete with splits, high kicks, and hair swinging.

Fallon followed that up with a grungy, mascara-stained performance of "Violet" by Courtney Love's band Hole. "It's OK that you're gonna lose," Cyrus joked as she wiped away the host's fake tears after he ended the performance. And we don't blame her for being a little cocky, considering her next number.

Cyrus donned an oversized jacket and glasses and got a little bit of cinematic camerawork as she performed "Once in a Lifetime" by Talking Heads, complete with some iconic moves. Even Jimmy Fallon couldn't resist applauding her creativity. It was enough for him to declare her the winner.
